That was CP Soccer Goes Global. Now, get ready for CP Soccer Goes Global II

On June 20th, CP Soccer closed our spring training season with a spectacular ending – CP Soccer Goes Global II.

CP Soccer US has spent the lockdown period training online. We have worked daily with our young athletes since April 6th. On May 16th, CP Soccer Goes Global brought together eighteen countries from all six continents for a live online training - the first of its kind in the world for CP athletes. Our special guest was the President of US Soccer, Cindy Parlow Cone, as well as Stuart Sharp, USPNT Head Coach and Sam Turner, Secretary General IFCPF. We had over 100 participants on our feed, and over 2,000 viewers tuned in on our Facebook channel.

In CP Soccer Goes Global II, over 25 teams from across the world came together online for a unique CP Soccer challenge. Everyone taking part in CP Soccer Goes Global II had a chance to compete and train in CP Soccer activities for their country. Some players joined us online via our Zoom feed, while some tuned in on our Facebook live stream. Our special guest Greg Berhalter, current coach of the US Men’s National Team joined in to cheer on the players and for some Q&A. Over 4,000 viewers joined us through our Facebook and Youtube channels, with our Facebook video subsequently reaching nearly 10,000 viewers worldwide.

CP Soccer Goes Global II was a combination of fun skill work and competitive activities that all of the athletes are able to do. The competitive skills are quantifiable allowing the players to effectively compete against their peers across the world. We had ten challenges and each player could participate in as many as they wanted. Players’ results of each individual challenge are compared with their age group. We are still receiving the results and will be announcing them soon!

CP Soccer Goes Global and Goes Global II is a lead up to our inaugural CP Soccer International Youth Festival to be held in June/July 2021.
